Im absolutely dissatisfied with the product, i receive it in totally lousy conditions, it comes without the battery, no charger,no memory card, the battery lid was broken and the camera was absolutely scratched and spoiled.
I feel very sorry about my purchase becouse frankly was trowing money at trash.

While the camera is nice looking with a beautiful LCD and is easy to carry, there are lots of other cameras on the market that offer the same AND take good pictures. The bottom line with the Nikon Coolpix S560 is that it takes fine pictures in bright outdoor lighting, and terrible pictures anywhere else. I've had three Canon Powershot Digital Elph series cameras going back 12 years or so, and they were uniformly terrific. This is my first Nikon and it will certainly be my last.

I've owned several budget point-and-shoots like this, and I am well aware of their limitations. I'll compare this to other similar cameras that I've owned.
As far as the construction is concerned, it's a sexy, solid device. It's got an enormous LCD display, great optical zoom for a P&S, and it's small enough to carry comfortably in a pocket or on your wrist.
One downside of the design: no viewfinder, so you're stuck with the LCD, which can be really tough to see in direct sunlight.
The features aren't great. I'm pretty well versed in Photoshop, so gimmicky features like sepia tone and red-eye reduction aren't things I'd ever use. On the practical side, you can adjust the exposure, manually set the focal point, easily change the flash settings, and set the white point for your shots.
I'd trade them all for RAW shooting, but that's just a personal preference that won't effect the casual shooter.
The biggest problem is the photos. Sure, it's grainy in low-light, but that's not uncommon. Lighting is something even casual photographers should be aware of, and something professionals or enthusiasts can take years to master. So the grainy low-light photos aren't a dealbreaker for me.
The color, however, is abysmal. The camera takes flat, bland photographs, and everything seems to blend together. It also has a really obnoxious tendency to automate everything for you, so two photographs taken at slightly different angles can look completely different, depending on what exposure setting and focal point the camera decided to use. Again, you can set these yourself, but they'll be reset automatically on a fairly regular basis.
If you're looking for something for fun snapshots with friends and family, pick up a cheaper model without the frills. If you're looking for a camera that captures high contrast, vibrant images, drop a couple hundred more on a higher end model.
Cameras are for capturing images. P&S models are made for their portability and low price, but the images don't justify the price here.
