Owned for almost two months now. I have used this almost daily. Great to run through house, on stairs and to clean up the kids little messes after meals. I wish I had this before burning through two Sharks. Would highly recommend. I like how it hangs on wall and how easy to get it off and on the charging station. Emptying the container is a breeze.

I just sent my 2 year old vacuum to Freecycle because I just tried my new Dyson. I was tired of buying one or two hundred dollar machines and never getting any that actually sucks, literally. This Dyson sucks good, and I mean good. I just vacuumed the couch and it was full of dust, I do have a dog that has black hair and he sheds terribly.
I am getting rid of my rugs for that reason but this Dyson has cleaned it up so fast and thoroughly. I am finally getting up all the dog hair and then some.
I also do not really like the on switch but I understand the idea behind it. As for the plug, you do not have to hang it on the wall to charge it. You do not have to lay the vacuum on the floor either, just disengage the hand portion from the whole unit, you do that anyway to get rid of the dirt, put that part on the floor or a table and plug in, it is very simple no nails need be put in the wall.
I am getting up more dirt than I ever thought I had. This is light and very handy, I will need to get used to the way it handles since all of the works are near my hand, but since it is light it is no big deal.
As far as the short vacuum time I agree with some that you usually do not need to vacuum for 15 minutes at a time any way. I just worked my way around my living room I moved the chairs and such and vacuumed, then charged it while I was putting everything back, it is that simple. It does not hold a large amount of dirt and this you need because it finds the dirt and sucks it all up, but I do not mind that either, emptying the "bag" often means I had a lot of dirt and I am happy to see it go even if I have to take an extra step to do it.
I have seen a lot of complaints about this item but there are more pluses than minuses and I find this is a good product if you want your house clean.
Well I can't wait to do it so here I go again: vacuuming.

I already have a large Dyson cleaner but it can be a pain to get it out, especially for small clean ups. I debated for a long time before buying this DC35, mainly because of the price, but I finally took the plunge.
First impressions were that it was smaller than I was expecting for some reason. The usable brush width is around 7", which is quite small. I also found that I needed to have it on the MAX power setting to ensure it picked up everything first time. The total run time on MAX power is 6 minutes. I was pretty concerned that this was going to render the unit pretty much useless...... so I started to go around the house vacuuming and I was amazed how far I actually got. I managed to do all the rooms in a 4 bedroom house with 3 public rooms. Now, the amount of cleaning I did was in no way similar to a deep clean, which involves moving furniture around, etc, but I was able to freshen everything up so the place looks clean and tidy. I'm finding I am vacuuming more often now, but for shorter periods (6 minutes at a time obviously) Somehow it seems much less of a chore because you don't have to pull a big cleaner out and be constantly moving the power chord around from one room to the next. I was interested to see how I would fare with the on/off button, which you have to hold in. I actually find it fine to use. I also understand why they did this..... it really helps you with the amount of cleaning you get done v's battery life. It's amazing how often you do let go of the trigger because you are moving around, and not actually cleaning.
I don't think I could live with only the DC35, but I am expecting only to pull out the big vacuum rarely, perhaps once every few months.... we'll see. I would recommend the DC35 but you do really have to understand what it can and can't do, and set your expectations correctly.
